Drew Places 2nd in Carolina Yakfish Tournament

Drew placed 2nd at the recent (5/8/10) Carolina Yakfish tournament trail stop on the Cape Fear River southwest of Raleigh, NC. This was the only leg of the paddle powered trail that was on a river so Drew could not resist getting in on the fun, especially after seeing all of the River Bassin Tournament Trail anglers have such a good time in Atlanta the weekend before.

“I want to send a big congrats out to Joey Sullivan who took the top spot, and was just the best angler on this day.  He found the kicker fish that Drew Haerer and the rest of us lacked to really put us up there with him.  I officially placed second, but want to give credit to Drew Haerer who unfortunately forgot to put his ‘identifier’ in one of his photos and should have been 2nd had that not happened.

I was just glad to place considering I had never fished that water before.  All the guys at the Carolina Yakfish tournament were a ball to fish and hang out with and I would like to say a big thanks to Bob Dainton and the tournament committee for putting this trail on.”
