RiverBassin.com put on its innagural Tennessee River Bassin Rodeo on the Duck River and I wasn’t going to miss a chance to fish in the beautiful TN waters where I cut my teeth on rivers when I was 7 and 8 years old. We lived in Murfreesboro for a few years and I can remember those wade trips with my dad on the Stones River like it was yesterday. The Duck is similar but it had some beautiful high bluffs that made you feel very isolated and secluded from the modern world. It was a joy to fish!
Many folks got to try out the Coosa and overall, like all who have taken it for a spin, the feedback has been very positive. I keep telling people to be honest and if you think it absolutely stinks then tell me because I want to know how we can improve things. So far everyone just keeps saying they love it so I guess it is going to be like pulling teeth to get some constructive criticism from the folks that know me well. Or, maybe it just doesn’t have any initial, big glaring weaknesses.
Like any River Bassin Rodeo it was all about fellowship, food and fishing – in that order. I met some great folks there and can’t wait for the next one. The campsite was right on the river and a big thanks needs to go out to Blake Condo for setting it all up for us.
